Established in 1963 in Richmond, Virginia, Century Construction specializes in new builds, renovations, and tenant fit-ups.

In 1977, Century Construction Company became a Butler Builder®, solidifying our commitment to innovative solutions and cost-effective construction methods. Introducing an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) further fostered a culture of ownership and dedication among our team members, ensuring long-term success and client satisfaction.

Mark G Meland

Before joining Century in 1985, Mark worked in mechanical contracting in Philadelphia. He is a native of Richmond and a civil engineering graduate of Virginia Tech.

As C.E.O., Mark monitors all estimates and projects and has a successful record in project planning, cost development, and value engineering.

Owners and architects enjoy working with Mark, and he’s developed strong business relationships through the years, shown in Century’s 75% rate of return business each year.

William G. Hollowell

Bill is a graduate of North Carolina State University and the University of Colorado..

Prior to joining Century, Bill worked in high-rise construction in Atlanta, Chicago, and Minneapolis. He has managed the construction of offices, sports and aquatics facilities, medical buildings, museums, churches, and industrial work.

Bill leads construction operations, including coordinating managers, quality control, scheduling, and safety.

He is a licensed Professional Engineer and a LEED Accredited Professional.

Ronnie L. Lester

Ronnie is our longest tenured employee and has led overall management of field operations since 2006.

He is a master craftsman, a hard worker, and a good communicator. Ronnie is liked by everyone he meets and has an excellent rapport with design professionals and subcontractors.

His specialties include constructing technical renovations in critical facilities, implementing phased projects, and developing and maintaining long-term client relationships.

Through his commitment and leadership, Century employees enjoy working on some of the safest construction projects and job sites in the region.

S. Keith Morgan, Jr.

Keith began work with Century as a laborer in the summers during college.

He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Business Administration. Since joining Century full-time in 2005, he worked as project manager and controller before becoming Vice President of Finance in 2024.

Keith ocersees all business aspects of the Company, including cost control, invoicing, receivables, insurance, investing, IT, and the Empoloyee shareholder Plan.

He is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association.
